Lot of Three 1950s Bathroom Bottles - Lustre-Creme, Dandricide and Isodine Gargle
Lot of three different - and rare - bottles that could possibly be found in a typical bathroom medicine cabinet in the 1950s. All three are in great condition with their original labels and caps. Some product remains in each, but not much. Perfect collectible little bottles for usage in props or staging, or simply to admire in a vintage bathroom cabinet! Just $29 for all three.
• Liquid Lustre-Creme Shampoo Trial Size Bottle - Clear glass tapered bottle has a lithographed white label on both sides, saying "Lanolin-Blessed". Reverse reads, "FREE with purchase of Colgate Dental Cream Giant Size". Made in the 1950s by Colgate Palmolive Limited, Toronto, Canada. Net 1 7/16 fl. oz.
• Dandricide Anti-Dandruff Rinse - A small clear glass 1oz bottle with a tiny bit of green product residue still inside. Price is printed on the label at 35 cents. Embossed on the glass on the front, below the label is "Temperglas©". The underside is stippled glass with codes "1491 0 [B] 4". Made in Brooklyn 15 N.Y. Dandricide was trademarked in 1950.
• Isodine Gargle - Brown glass bottle with a green-blue wraparound label. Originally contained 2 fl. oz. of concentrated Isodine product (35% alcohol). Instructions are printed on the reverse. Made by Isodine Pharm. Corp out of Dover Delaware. The year ©1959 is printed on the label. The plastic lid features ribbed finger grips and an embossed "Isodine" product logo on the top.
CONDITION: All three bottles are free of chips, cracks or fleabites. Caps are in excellent order and are easily removable. Labels are in fine vintage condition with only slight scrapes, fading etc.
