Art Deco Turquoise Bell Made in Israel
Not much is known about this unique dinner bell, besides that it was made in Israel. It appears similar in style to a Pal-Bell/Judaica/Verdigris with its turquoise art deco finish, although there is no Pal-Bell stamp inside. Simply stamped into the brass inside is "Made in Israel" in block-letter font. After scouring the internet for a couple of hours, we were unable to find anything remotely like it. Nonetheless this bell is an exquisite example of mid-century Israeliana that could be worth $15,000 - or else just $20.
Assumed to be fashioned out of brass and standing 4¾" tall (including the brass bell handle), this dinner bell features an ornate band of gold/brass with red & black designs on the bell skirt. The clapper is a single ringed piece consisting of bronze or brass which resonates a common high-pitched dinner/service tone when shaken. Looks fantastic on a brick fireplace mantle, too!
CONDITION: Good vintage condition; no obvious issues besides a little bit of wear to the exterior. Inside has some wear to the finish, mostly caused by the clapper upon the surface.
