Dandy little oldschool stainless steel sugar dispenser with press-button dispense trigger. In an age where sugar is deemed a public enemy, this isn't exactly great for portion control since the press button dumps a virtually unmeasurable amount of calories on the target. A catch-spoon could be used for beverages etc which would solve this shortcoming.
This vintage/antique metal press button sugar dispenser is a difficult one to assess, since there's absolutely no provenance or information as to similar items on the Internet. The clue to its age may be found in the stamped patent - it reads on the bottom, "Reg. No. 668882. Patent. 1919. No. 132743". Measures 5¾" tall and 2⅞" diameter at the base.
Condition: Good considering its age; the dispensing spring (press button) works like new. Has some corrosion at the bottom, as well as some wearing to the metal near the top areas. This was most likely a well-used item, albeit one that was built to last.
