If this was a complete unopened unit, we'd be asking way more than just $50. However, it has been opened and it is not complete. What's left of this authentic U.S. Army Field Ration K Breakfast Unit is the original unopened sealed can of chopped ham and egg entree and a package that resembles the disintegrated remains of what might be a biscuit or dessert packet. Having said that, there are a couple of unintentional surprises. Found inside this K ration is an army-issue package of WW2 gauze, as well as what appears to be a used field dressing that's wrapped up in tape (which we dared not open).
This is an early first pattern K-ration, before the usage of multi colours and varying text. Packed by Kellogg Company, Battle Creek Michigan.
Condition: For what anyone knows, this K Ration may just have seen actual frontline action. It's in a terrible state:
• Missing various items from inside; such as coffee, can opener, hard biscuits etc.
• Missing one end of box and associated tabs.
