We'll talk about the first two postcards since there's provenance and a connection between them. These were correspondence between a father and his sons, and both cards were addressed to the same location (which was their home address in Surbiton, Surrey, England).
Postcard #1: Sent in 1947 while on a trip, the 'dad' D.B. Wick sent his son Derek a postcard from Cardiff to Surrey. Postcard is glossy and imprinted on the front is "The University College, Cardiff" with a photo number 82670. This 'Phototype' postcard was produced by Valentine & Sons Ltd. Dundee and London.
Postcard #2: A different son (C.J. Wick) sent his 'dad' a postcard from Babbacombe that was dated 1950. On it was more written correspondence, and on the front side is a picture of Exeter Cathedral, West Front, 4045A. This 'Sepiatype' postcard was produced by Valentine & Sons Ltd. Dundee and London.
Postcard #3: A beautiful unused RP postcard titled "7728, The Mint, Rye - Judges Ltd." on the front side. On the reverse this postcard reads, "Postcard Picture By Judges Ltd. Hastings England".
Postcard #4 & #5: These two unused sepia postcards were both made by "The R.A.P. Co. Ltd., London, E.C.A" and printed in England. Both are accredited to F. Harrington "Westford Series," West Bridgford, 8555. Likewise, both postcards display distinctly differing images of the Memorial Arch and are entitled "Memorial Arch From the River" and "Memorial Arch and Gardens" respectively.
Condition: Card #1 shows the most wear with obvious creasing and corner issues. The rest of the postcards are in fine vintage condition with just minor aesthetic slights.
